The North Texas Healthcare Compliance Professionals Association (NTHCPA) invites members and other interested health care compliance professionals to join us on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a special Thanksgiving Week Study Group Luncheon featuring W. Steve Love, President and CEO of the DFW Hospital Council, speaking on “Health Care After November-Lame Duck Sequestration Implications For Health Care.” 

With the 2012 election over, health industry organizations face budgetary and regulatory uncertainty as the lame duck Congress decides whether to deal with the very serious financial cliff impacting the federal budget with sequestration or other alternatives.   With health care and the defense on the budgetary block, Mr. Love will share his insights and prognostications on the impending budget crisis and how Congresses’ decisions about budget controls and the federal deficit going forward are likely to impact Medicare and other federal health care programs, defense and other key programs.

In anticipation of the upcoming holiday season and celebration of the end of another successful year of meetings, the November luncheon also will feature a special complimentary luncheon underwritten by ID Experts.

The meeting scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on November 20, 2012 at the offices of the Dallas Ft Worth Hospital Council, 250 Decker Drive, Irving, TX 75062-2706 will feature a special complimentary luncheon underwritten by ID Experts.  Networking and lunch service will begin at 11:30.  Our program will begin at Noon.

There is no charge to participate in the meeting.  However space is limited and available only on a first come, first serve basis.  To ensure your spot and help us to arrange for adequate space and refreshments for this meeting, RSVP here by Noon on November 16, 2012.  A complimentary light lunch will be provided for those who timely R.S.V.P. Walk in guests will be accommodated on a space-available basis only.

About W. Steve Love

President and CEO of the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council, W. Stephen Love is widely recognized for his 35 years of health industry leadership.. 

Mr. Love graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1973 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.  He began his healthcare career in 1975 at a 450 bed tax exempt facility located in Petersburg, Virginia.  He has served in various capacities of healthcare management at the hospital, division and corporate levels.  Mr. Love also worked with a managed care, workers compensation fee adjucation and auto processing Control Company for 2 years.

Prior to joining the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council, Mr. Love was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a Fortune 500 Healthcare company.  His responsibilities included Security Exchange Commission public reporting, implementation of Sarbanes Oxley and key internal controls throughout the system and evaluation of risk management and insurance.  Mr. Love has worked in healthcare management for over 35 years.  He has demonstrated leadership in tax exempt, investor-owned, specialty and private hospitals in operations, finance and corporate governance.
