The North Texas Healthcare Compliance Professionals Association (NTHCPA) invites members and other interested health care compliance professionals to join us on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for our March Study Group Luncheon featuring Baylor Health Care System’s Robert R. Michalski, CHC, CHPC, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, and Bonnie Ann Sexton, CHC, CHRC, PMP, Director of Compliance, Ethics and Operations speaking on “Best Practices for Conflict of Interest Management Programs.” 

Registration & Meeting Details

The meeting scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 19, 2013 at the offices of the Dallas Ft. Worth Hospital Council, 250 Decker Drive, Irving, TX 75062-2706 will feature a complimentary luncheon underwritten by Cynthia Marcotte Stamer, P.C. for those who timely R.S.V.P.  Networking and lunch service will begin at 11:30.  Our program will begin at Noon.

There is no charge to participate in the meeting.  However space is limited and available only on a first come, first serve basis.  To ensure your spot and help us to arrange for adequate space and refreshments for this meeting, R.S.V.P. here as soon as possible and no later than Noon on March 15, 2013 to reserve your spot.  Walk in guests will be accommodated on a space-available basis only.

About The Speakers

Robert R. Michalski joined the Baylor Health Care System in Dallas, TX in April 2009 as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer.  He also serves as the System Privacy Officer and is Certified in Healthcare Compliance and Healthcare Privacy Compliance.  Prior to joining Baylor Health Care System, Mr. Michalski served as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh, PA for nine years.  His prior experience also included serving as Director of Patient Financial Services for Allegheny General Hospital Parent (Allegheny Health Education and Research Foundation, AHERF) and as a Senior Consultant with Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group in Cincinnati, OH.   Mr. Michalski received a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and a Master of Health Administration degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.  He is currently the Chairman for the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA) and Co-Chair of the Healthcare Compliance Council Exchange in North Texas and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), AmericanCollege of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and Health Ethics Trust.

Bonnie Ann Sexton is the Director of Compliance, Ethics and Operations at Baylor Health Care System where she has oversight responsibilities for compliance related systems, processes, and reporting functions. She co-chairs the Research Conflict of Interests Committee and serves on the System Steering Committee for Policy and Procedure Administration.  Ms. Sexton is a certified project management professional (PMP). She is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and is certified by HCCA in health care compliance (CHC) and research compliance (CHRC).  Ms. Sexton received a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in health care management from DallasBaptistUniversity.
