The North Texas Healthcare Compliance Professionals Association (NTHCPA) invites members and other interested health care compliance professionals faced with these and other challenges to join us on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for our Study Group Luncheon featuring attorney Maria V. Pouwels leading a discussion on “From Volume To Value: Managing The Health Care Reimbursement Voyage To The Unknown.”

Health care reform, enforcement and health care realignment are rapidly changing health care reimbursement models.  With public and private payers shifting from volume to value, health care organizations must transition their organizations while continuing to effectively managing quality, compliance and profitability through the transition. With the drivers of change often forcing health care organizations to move forward even as reimbursement, regulatory and other requirements are fully adapted, health care organizations must retool their operations and people while continuing to manage existing operations to maintain defensibility under existing and evolving requirements under constant hostile audit and enforcement scrutiny.

To successfully operate through these change and into the future while managing current financial and regulatory challenges, health care organizations, their leaders and their providers must understand the emerging models, the finance, compliance, and provider and other team members to bring to the table, the data to collect, what it means and how to properly use these tools to maximize compliant reimbursement while maintaining quality, compliance and performance.  A seasoned healthcare executive and consultant experienced in helping health care organizations manage and lead operations through change and other challenges, Maria V. Pouwels, CPA understands the key role of compliance in the leadership and success of these critical transitions Ms. Pouwels will share her insights on the challenges and opportunities for health care organizations as health care reimbursement moves from volume to value, and options for health care compliance, finance and other leaders to work together effectively understand and transition their people and operations adapt to these coming changes while meeting today’s financial, compliance and operational challenges.

Networking and lunch service will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the program discussion beginning at Noon.  There is no charge to participate in the meeting. However space is limited and available only on a first come, first serve basis.
