The North Texas Healthcare Compliance Professionals Association (NTHCPA) invites members and other interested health care compliance professionals faced with these and other challenges to join us on Tuesday,  February 18, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for our Study Group Luncheon featuring Fernando Martinez, PhD, CHCIO, FHIMSS speaking on “Managing The Latent Risk In Your Organization.”

Registration & Meeting Details

The meeting scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the offices of the Dallas Ft Worth Hospital Council, 250 Decker Drive, Irving, TX 75062-2706 will feature a complimentary lunch and drinks  for those who timely R.S.V.P.  Our program will begin at 1:00 p.m.  There is no charge to participate in the meeting. However space is limited and available only on a first come, first serve basis. To ensure your spot and help us to arrange for adequate space and refreshments for this meeting, R.S.V.P. here as soon as possible and no later than Noon on February 17, 2014. Walk in guests will be accommodated on a space-available basis only.

About The Speaker, Fernando Martinez, PhD, CHCIO, FHIMSS

Dr. Fernando Martinez, PhD, CHCIO, FHIMSS is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, Texas. He is a veteran Healthcare Executive and Technologist who has worked with some of the largest healthcare systems in the country. Dr. Martinez is a recognized technology expert with a history of developing innovative and transformational technology strategies for organizations of all sizes. His experience spans a variety of healthcare settings including academic medicine, county and government systems, public sector healthcare, private non-profit, faith-based systems and foreign territories / governments.

Dr. Martinez was recognized as the 2012 Technology Executive of the Year for South Florida and is the 2009 ISE Southeast Executive Award Winner. He has published numerous articles focused on management, technology strategy, IT security and governance, is a frequent speaker at national IT meetings on technology and is a Faculty member of Graduate Healthcare Management Programs for the Chapman School of Business at Florida International University. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Information Technology with concentrations in information security and has an earned PhD in Educational Leadership and Organization.
